Agency Brand Identity

An existing in-house creative department decided to rename themselves to better-suit their personality and disassociate themselves from the stigma of being only a tactical "creative services" department. The new name chosen was "The Hive"; an internal department that provides strategic, creative solutions to help their fellow co-workers solve their most challenging communication problems. As Creative Director and designer on the project, I created a visual brand/identity system for the group to bring the vision of The Hive to life. This included a logo system (comprised of main visual mark used both in conjunction with and without tagline in horizontal and vertical format, a shortened logo monogram for small-scale uses, and abbreviated logo icon), business cards, a redesigned portfolio website and Tier 1 job proposal form template. The logo was developed to reflect a more updated personality with a clean, simplistic aesthetic to reinforce the department’s more forward-thinking approach. The mark itself, as well as the warm color palette chosen are meant to convey the lively, kinetic energy of the group. The revamped look has been favorably noted by many clients.
